What’s Next?

 


First off, for us to ask you to support forming a fire district, we believe you must fully understand the issues, and how this will affect you. To offer open face-to-face communication we want you to know all the facts so you can make a knowledgeable well-informed decision.

We plan a series of “town hall” type meetings to start late September early
October. These meeting will give you an opportunity to discuss the FACTS with
fire officials from here and our neighboring communities.

Timeline:

9/25/07 The fire district formation documents were sent to County Clerk Kathy Marston by mail.
Once we hear back from the county, we will schedule the first meeting
.

1) Series of town hall type meetings -– September/October
2) Gather signature for the petition- October/November
3) County Hearing to determine if it will go on the ballot - Jan
4) Election to determine if the district will be formed - May 08
5) Election of the RFPD board of Directors - May 08
